Ok, first off, unless otherwise stated, it will be Ebony typing each post out. We are both here, I just type because I’m faster.
For about a week now, we have been using Dove Men+Care Body and Face Wash, Clean Comfort mild formula. It is the one with the blue writing. There is also Extra Fresh, which is green, and Deep Clean, which is red. We own all three but have been using only clean comfort. We use it as a face wash only, using the scrublet we got with L’Oreal 360 Clean. We absolutely love the scrublet and use it with everything. Anyways, we both love it. It actually cleared up both of ours skin, mostly, with only occasional breakouts (gotta love the stress of school.) It does make my skin a little tight, but other than that, it isn’t really drying at all. I do not use a moisturizer daily, yes I know I should, but Ivory does. Speaking of moisturizers, if anyone knows of a good, but cheap, moisturizer, let us know? One that actually moisturizes, but doesn’t cause more breakouts. Ivory has been searching for months. Back to the review, it does smell like man, but it is not an overpowering 3 -cans –of-AXE kind of smell. It is very subtle, and we both think it smells really good. The other thing is, the scent doesn’t stay on our skin after using our normal makeup, so the smell isn’t even a big deal. Keep in mind that we only use it on our faces, so we don’t know about the smell sticking on the body. While rinsing, there is no rubbery feel, and it rinses off really easily and cleanly. There is no scummy layer left behind.
This line of body and face washes claim to have “micromoisture” which “activates on skin when lathering up, clinically proven to fight skin dryness” which I guess is true. Like I said, some tightness, but no real dryness after the tight feeling goes away. This retails for $5.99 at Walgreens, but we got it for free because they had a $6 register reward deal a couple weeks ago. In our opinion, it is well worth the money, because for our faces, it takes very little, especially with the scrublet (but works well without), to get a good lather.
Now I don’t know much about ingredients, but I will list them for anyone who does:
Water
Sodium Laureth Sulfate
Petrolatum
Acrylates Copolymer
Cocamidopropl Betaine
Fragrance
Cocamide MEA
PPG-9
Propylene Glyucol
DMDM Hydrantoin
Tetrasodium EDTA
BHT
Blue 1
Red 33
Yellow 5
Overall, I think this is very worth trying, especially if you are kind of iffy about men’s products. This is a good starter man product. And hey, if you hate it and you have a boyfriend or husband or any other guy in your life, you can always pawn it off on them. Most guys I know don’t really care what they use. I think that is about it, and we will get our next post up asap, but we don’t know what it will be on, or when. It will probably be some form of makeup. We’ve gotten a ton of new stuff lately so we have a lot of options. If anyone actually reads this, you should comment so we know that someone cares. Lol. And if anyone else has tried it, or is planning to, let us know what you think. Thanks!
